We recommend that landlords should always provide a written tenancy agreement. An assured shorthold tenancy agreement for a period of 6 months is the most practical.

Section 21 Notice
To regain possession of a property, a landlord would firstly have to issue a notice to the tenant. A Section 21 notice is issued under the accelerated possession procedure of the courts.
If a tenant has rent arrears, then a landlord can issue a Section 8 notice.
